Junior Plus Size. Thank you TORRID!

I know when I was a teenager, I was always longing for a good place to shop for junior plus sizes. I don’t think it was until I was in college that Torrid came about. Their self professed target audience is the junior plus size market. I still shop there sometimes. I can definitely find some nice items there for myself, but on a whole, their clothes tend to be funkier and show more skin than I usually prefer. However, from what I gather, they seem to stay pretty funky and trendy, and they try to create/carry items that are very similar to the slimmer juniors items out there. I think this helps larger junior girls feel like they fit in with their smaller sized friends. I know I would have given my right arm to have Torrid around when I was in high school. Please see some of the new arrivals from Torrid below that I think would translate well to younger generations.

 

Another good thing about Torrid is that it is affordable. YESSSSSSS!!!!!

Formal dresses are hard to find

I’m not sure how many of you need formal dresses. I can’t say I need them often, but as an army wife…soon to be army officer wife, there are military balls to attend. Now, I believe I’ve mentioned before that I have ALWAYS had a hard time finding plus size formal dresses. I truly feel for those plus size high schoolers for proms and formals too. Dress shopping was a nightmare. Unfortunately, there are STILL not enough junior plus size clothing or dresses out there. I would personally wear every one of these dresses. I hope you enjoy them. I still wish they were more affordable though, but I know I am willing to pay more for formals (or a wedding dress) than I am other clothing.
